Request a Site

You can be up and running in a matter of days – here’s how the process works:

  1. First, check your eligibility.
Some units and departments would like you to contact them, to ensure a coordinated digital presence.
  2. Request a site and get approved.
This can take up to 3 business days, as each request is individually reviewed.
  3. Plan your site.
This is the hard part! Building and maintaining a website takes both initial and ongoing effort, and goes a whole lot smoother when you plan it out in advance. Make sure to allocate time to:
    • Define your site goals
    • Recruit an editorial team
    • Plan your content
    • Develop a timeline for completing the site
  4. Build and publish your site.
WordPress is one of the easiest web publishing systems around, and your site will come pre-loaded with information and tips on best practices to help you get going.  You can also use our Get Help page whenever you need it.
  5. Don’t forget about maintenance!
Websites require a lot of care and feeding to be successful and help you meet your goals. Make sure you’ve addressed ongoing updates and reviews as part of a regular process, so that your new website thrives.
